Minister of Higher Education inspects the CREATIVA Innovation Hub at Aswan University

   

         Dr. Ayman Mohamed Ashour_ Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research_ inspected the CREATIVA Innovation Hub on the campus of Aswan University in Sahari, accompanied by Major General. Ashraf Attia_ Governor of Aswan, Dr. Ayman Mahmoud Othman_ President of Aswan University, Dr. Mostafa Refaat_ Secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities, and many University presidents, and a group of leaders from the ministry, university, and governorate.

           Dr. Ayman Ashour listened to a detailed explanation of the activities and programs provided by the CREATIVA Innovation Hub, which was established within the university. To be available to university students and graduates, it provides the services of three entities affiliated with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, which are: (Information Technology Institute (ITI) – Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC) – National Telecommunications Institute (NTI).

          The Minister inspected the Hub’s laboratories and halls, which contain 9 computer laboratories, two lecture halls, and a conference hall. It also contains a computer networks laboratory, a laboratory for designing embedded systems and the Internet of Things, a laboratory for manufacturing prototypes, and fiber optic cables welding laboratory.

           Dr. Ayman Ashour stressed the importance of cooperation and integration between the centers to achieve the maximum possible benefit and to fulfill their role and perform their desired performance, pointing out the importance of providing diverse and distinguished training programs for young people, so that they can meet the requirements of the local, regional and international labor market.

         The Minister pointed out the necessity of qualitative development of educational and research services that are provided to students, stressing the great interest and unlimited support that the Egyptian state and its political leadership give to the development of public education, through the large investments that are pumped into developing universities to carry out their scientific and educational role as desired, pointing to the importance of Paying attention to modern study programs that meet the needs of future jobs.

           For his part, Dr. Ayman Othman confirmed that Aswan University is witnessing a major boom in its various educational, research, and construction sectors, in light of implementing the goals of the national strategy for higher education and scientific research, noting that these projects aim to serve students and graduates, and work to improve their skills and abilities, so that they can be able to meet labor market requirements; To provide distinguished educational services to university students.

          Dr. Ayman Othman added that the CREATIVA Innovation Hub provides training services to students and graduates of Aswan University, which was previously officially inaugurated by President. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi_ President of the Republic_ via “video conference”, as it was established based on the cooperation protocol that was signed between Aswan University and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.

          Dr. Adel Abdel-Ghaffar_ Media advisor and official spokesman for the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, stated that Aswan University is one of the beacons of science and knowledge in the South Upper Egypt region, and is witnessing continuous development and modernization at the level of its facilities, noting that the university includes 18 faculties, which are ( Arts, Commerce, Law, Alsun, Dar Al-Uloom, Engineering, Energy Engineering, Veterinary medicine, Agriculture and Natural Resources, Archaeology, Medicine, Fish and Fisheries Technology, Specific Education, Science, Education, Nursing, Social Work, Physical Education), in addition to the Institute of African Studies and the Technical Institute of Nursing.  and the Visit was attended by Dr. Ayman Farid_ Assistant Minister for Strategic Planning, Training, and Qualification for Labor Market, Dr. Sherif Kishk_ Assistant Minister for Smart Governance, and Eng. Ahmed Salem_ Head of the CREATIVA Innovation Hub.

            On the sidelines of the visit, the Minister inspected an art exhibition for students of the university, in addition to reviewing the products of the Entrepreneurship Club, and some of the products presented by the researchers, which can be benefited from, which will reflect positively on supporting efforts to promote the industry and the national economy.
