The university president stressed that organizing medical convoys comes within the framework of the university’s societal role to provide its services, believing in the importance of community participation, pointing out that medical services are provided in university hospitals daily and to all citizens using international technologies and the latest devices.
The university also seeks to provide advanced medical services, detection, examination and treatment, as the university aims to promote health, social, environmental and intellectual development and provide a distinguished medical service to perform its development and service mission and to benefit from the university’s specialized scientific competencies.

The General Administration of Medical Affairs at the university made two treatment convoys for the neediest areas within the university’s role to serve the community
1- In the new city of Aswan, an examination was carried out and the necessary treatment was given to (956) cases of different specializations.
The convoy started at nine o’clock in the morning until five o’clock in the evening and served the people of the following areas: – (West Aswan – Al-Kubaniya – Al-Taweel – Abu Al-Rish – Al-Malqa) and the following specializations were detected:
* Dermatology Department * Orthopedic Department * Internal Medicine and Cardiology Department * Pediatric Department
* Dental department * Obstetrics and gynecology department * Surgery department
This was done on November 27, 2018, at Aswan Health Unit in New Aswan.
2- At Al-Alaqi (a remote border area where health services are lacking), examinations were made on (177) cases of different specialties, and the health unit in Al-Alaqi was provided with the missing medicines and the necessary serums, as the nature of the place is desert environment.
The convoy headed at exactly five o’clock in the morning to Wadi Al-Allaqi and arrived at ten o’clock in the morning. The investigation of the cases began in the following sections:
* Dermatology Department * Orthopedic Department * Internal Medicine and Cardiology Department * Pediatric Department
* Dental department * Obstetrics and gynecology department * Surgery department
