3.3.2 Health outreach programmes

 

 

Aswan University through the administration of Health Care, Faculty of Medicine Faculty of Nursing and the engagement and collaboration of Students Voluntary Groups, delivers periodic health outreach programs targeting the displaced and refugee communities, local rural, undeserved urban and other areas in the community. They are organized as a part of the ongoing programs of the University to the local community to tackle the SDGs and improve the public health.

Local Communities:
Aswan University strongly supports the local community, as it has established many free medical convoys to improve health and introduce treatment, which including too a number of different symposiums to the detection of various diseases, support reproductive health and first aid to support the Aswan community and has established:

On the 10 th Mar 2023, Department of Vascular Surgery at Faculty of Medicine Organizes Awareness Campaign in the Station Square Under the slogan of World Venous Disease Week

 

On the 18 th  Feb 2023, Conclusion of the Fifth International Pain Management Conference at the Anesthesiology Department of Faculty of Medicine in Collaboration with Guy’s and St. Thomas Hospital in Luxor

 

 

On the 1 st Nov 2022, Aswan University Hospital provides medical care to the victims of the western desert road accident, which resulted in 41 injuries and one fatality

 

 

On the 8 th Sep 2022, Aswan University Hospital provides medical care to the victims of a tourist bus accident on Abo Simbel Road

 

 

On the 28 th Mar 2022, Faculty of medicine organizes a medical convoy with eleven specialties for Kom Ombo General Hospital

 

On the 25 th Mar 2022,  Aswan University Hospitals launches a medical convoy in El Dor village, Nasr El Nuba Center

Aswan University organize Yearly Medical convey to various African countries country of Tanzania in several medical fields, on 22, July 2021 until 30, July which has performed many delicate surgeries for various malformations in the specialty of “urology and genitourinary surgery as: (cases of congenital malformations in the urinary tract, the lower incision of the duct Different degrees of urine, bladder exposure and mixed-sex cases and urinary incontinence)”, especially congenital malformations in children in Tanzania.
